New service offers a convenient schedule for both business and leisure travel
MILWAUKEE (October 5, 2023) – Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) welcomed new nonstop service to Washington, D.C. on American Airlines today. The twice-daily flights to Reagan National Airport (DCA) offer a convenient option for those looking to travel to our nation’s capital.
“We’re excited to welcome this new service from American Airlines,” said Airport Director Brian Dranzik. “With two flights per day, the schedule is perfect for travelers looking to fly to D.C. for a day of business without the need to stay overnight. It also makes travel to the capital easier than ever for families or school trips.”
The addition of service to DCA comes at a perfect time, as Milwaukee is gearing up to host the Republican National Convention in 2024. With travel from D.C. anticipated to increase due to the event, these new flights give attendees more reasons to choose MKE as they plan their travel to southeast Wisconsin.
The flights will operate on a dual-class CRJ-700 aircraft, featuring in-seat power ports and free entertainment streamed to your personal device. American also offers daily nonstops from MKE to Dallas/Fort Worth, Charlotte, Phoenix, Philadelphia, and Chicago. On November 4, American will begin nonstop flights to Miami every Saturday.
