DULLES, VA (07/19/2021) (readMedia)-- Avports today revealed a new logo and branding inspired by its 94-year history. Avports began as the infrastructure division of Pan American ("Pan Am") World Airways in 1927. The changes come as Avports -- formerly "AvPORTS" -- expands its offerings and incorporates environmental sustainability, as well as diversity and inclusion through its workforce.

Jorge Roberts, CEO of Avports, said, "In the last year, Avports has adapted and excelled under the ever-changing circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. We worked to provide the latest technology to promote travel hygiene and keep passengers and employees safe through those unprecedented times for our industry and the world. This branding better reflects our standing as a leader, while nodding to our past."
One of the company's latest achievements includes a recently announced major agreement with the Tweed New Haven Airport Authority for the company to serve as Tweed's long-term operator in exchange for investing more than $100 million in significant capital improvements at the Airport in the coming years.
