CHICAGO - November 12, 2019 –The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) today announced that low-cost carrier Norwegian will start new summer seasonal air service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Rome–Fiumicino International Airport "Leonardo da Vinci".
The new Paris route starts on May 1, 2020 and will operate through October 24, 2020, with service four times a week, and five times weekly during peak summer travel times.
The route to Rome will launch on June 2, 2020 and operate through October 19, 2020, with service four times weekly.
“We are pleased to celebrate Norwegian's addition of new two new seasonal routes from O'Hare,” said CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee. “These routes will open up new options for travelers and provide economic and cultural benefits for years to come. Many thanks to Norwegian for helping to further boost O'Hare as the best-connected airport in the United States.”
The Norwegian aircraft, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with 344 seats, will offer passengers personal in-flight entertainment on demand, USB charging ports and a power adapter. Norwegian is also the only airline to offer free WiFi on transatlantic routes, which is currently being rolled out, and also provided gate-to-gate.
