“We are excited that Edmonton is our newest Canadian gateway and the latest addition to Condor’s growing North American route system,” says Mikko Turtiainen, Director of Sales, The Americas. “It has been a true pleasure to partner with Edmonton International Airport to bring Condor’s service to Alberta. In the past, travellers from this region of Canada would have to make multiple connections to get to their final European destination and often spend more doing so. We are pleased to introduce an affordable and convenient alternative. As Germany’s number one leisure airline, Condor is also looking forward to introducing German vacationers to this most spectacular province of Canada.”
In addition to a value-oriented Economy class product, Condor also offers Business Class and Premium Economy classes of service. As more leisure travellers are looking to splurge on their vacation after not travelling for so long, premium classes with fares that are up to 50 per cent less than the legacy airlines are sure to be popular with vacationers from Edmonton. Condor’s Business Class features lie-flat seats, a personal in-seat, premium touch-screen entertainment system, power ports at every seat and exquisite and delicious premium menus with complimentary non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. In addition, special menus for children as well as vegetarian, vegan and lactose or gluten-free meals are available. Business Class passengers also have access to priority check-in and lounge access. Premium Class features seats with added legroom, leg rests and adjustable headrests, a premium in-flight, in-seat entertainment system with an extended program, USB ports at every seat, premium meals, and complimentary beverages.
“We are thrilled to welcome Condor Airlines to YEG,” says Myron Keehn, President & CEO, Edmonton International Airport (YEG). “The addition of a new non-stop destination to Frankfurt Germany provides enhanced access to Europe for our region's business and cargo community along with opening up business and tourism opportunities in both markets. This flight builds YEG’s connectivity to Europe and we thank Condor for their partnership and investment in the Edmonton Metro Region."

About Condor
As Germany's most popular leisure airline, Condor has been taking its guests to the world's most beautiful holiday destinations for more than 65 years. Every year, more than nine million guests fly with Condor from the nine largest airports in Germany, from Zurich in Switzerland and Vienna in Austria to around 90 destinations in Europe, Africa, and North America. Condor operates a fleet of over 50 aircraft, which are maintained by the company's own maintenance operation, Condor Technik GmbH, according to the highest safety standards at the Frankfurt and Dusseldorf locations. In spring 2022, Germany's most popular vacation carrier unveiled its new brand identity: Condor is vacation and vacation is stripes. Inspired by parasols, bath towels and beach chairs, Condor now wears stripes in five colors. This clearly shows the development from a vacation airline to a unique and unmistakable vacation brand. The new design was unveiled with the first A330neo, which will take off for Condor from fall 2022. As the German launch customer, Condor will then be flying 18 A330neo long-haul aircraft. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and maximum efficiency, the latest-generation 2-liter aircraft is the European front-runner with 2.1 liters per passenger per 100 kilometers and maximum customer comfort. Moreover, Condor will receive 41 brand-new short- and medium-haul aircraft of the A32Xneo family from 2024 and will therefore enable a more responsible way of travelling in the future. Fairbanks International Airport Baggage Transport Conveyor Enhanced With Mod Drive™ System
Airports face a host of unique industry challenges, such as meeting efficiency regulations and seeking out the best maintenance practices to reduce costs and keep operations flowing. In today’s current economic climate, any potential cost savings can go a long way.
In 2019, Alaska’s Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) sought to modernize its equipment and operations. They were dissatisfied with the performance of the gearmotors on their baggage transport conveyors and began searching for new suppliers. Regal approached FAI with a solution that could improve equipment performance and simplify maintenance, with the added benefit of energy cost savings: the Hub City® MOD Drive™ system.
