80 digital units deployed in Jordan
BROOKINGS, S.D. – July 8, 2020 – Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has provided 80 LED display units to Seagulls Out Of Home for their city-wide project in Amman, Jordan. Installation took place over several months between 2019 and 2020.
“We kickstarted the 2020s by introducing our Digital Out of Home (D/OOH) line for the first time in Jordan,” said Eyad Halabi, Seagulls’ sales and marketing director. “We are very happy to have partnered with Daktronics manufacture the LED panels for Seagulls’ Digital Series which consists of 80 digital billboards—50 DS2 units and 30 DS8 units—strategically located in the heart of Amman in hand-picked, high-traffic locations.”
Of the 80 LED displays provided for this project, 50 featured 2 square meters and 30 featured 8 square meters of digital space. All 80 units employed 3.9-millimeter line spacing for up-close viewing distances. These units are installed across the city of Amman to share digital advertising messages to passersby. Due to their digital nature, messages can be changed at a moment’s notice and easily updated and cycled through.
Daktronics provides digital technology solutions that offer flexible scheduling for multiple advertisers as well as quick and easy changes in content. Additional services provided to the OOH industry add value and generate revenue for customers.
“We perceive big brands as our backbone and strategic partners in any media we develop,” added Halabi. “This though, should not stop us from catering to small budget advertisers. They are also important, in fact now more than ever, with the programmatic capabilities that have rolled out recently.
“With democratization, we aim to accommodate more budgets and sectors. Homegrown retail concepts and young startups require a more targeted approach that matches their limited budgets. We will be able to assist in that area and help them achieve their business objectives.”
