DENVER – Nov. 17, 2021 – To carry forth Denver International Airport’s (DEN) vision of providing excellence in service and support to the public, airport CEO Phil Washington has announced the creation of the DEN Community Advisory Committee (CAC). The CAC will provide insight, guidance and advice to advance DEN’s global reach, competitiveness and reputation as a leader in aviation as we prepare for 100 million annual passengers in approximately 10 years. “DEN is more than just an airport, it is our economic engine for Colorado, providing job opportunities and economic benefits to everyone,” said Washington. “The insight from community members with various backgrounds and experience will help us improve, prepare for the future and ensure this critical asset is successful for years to come.” DEN is seeking 15 community members, representing each county in the Denver metro and Boulder market areas.* Representatives should reflect diversity in background, age, gender, ethnicity, experience and perspective regarding issues such as travel, customer experience, business, construction, environmental, transportation and tourism. All CAC members must have the following general qualifications:
CAC members will provide advice on the various airport projects, initiatives and programs; assist with the review and discussion of airport plans; advise airport leadership in planning for issues of interest to the CAC; and advise airport leadership on the best way of seeking public input as appropriate.
