Kalamazoo, Michigan – The Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport is pleased to host a Temporary TSA PreCheck Application Center. Residents of Southwest Michigan will be able to enroll in the Transportation Security Administration’s popular TSA PreCheck® program at the Airport from November 15-19.
The airport is a convenient location to sign up for the popular program that enables enrolled travelers to “Travel with Ease” by experiencing an expedited security screening process. The “pop-up” office will be located in the airport terminal.
The application process allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to enroll directly in TSA PreCheck - an expedited screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on, in select TSA airport checkpoint screening lanes. More than 200 airports participate in TSA PreCheck nationwide and more than 70 airlines participate in the program.
To register for the upcoming TSA PreCheck enrollment event, visit the Airport TSA Pre-Check Website. The page includes step-by-step instructions on how to pre-enroll.
Applicants must bring proof of identity and U.S. citizenship. This can either be through a current U.S. passport, or through a driver’s license and a copy of their birth certificate. The enrollment process must be completed in person at the Airport in order for the proper paperwork and fingerprints to be collected. Those participating in the November 15-19 event can park in short-term or long-term parking. Hours of operation will be from 9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm with a lunch break from 12pm-1pm. The application fee is $85 and can be paid during the enrollment appointment with either a credit card, money order, company check or certified/cashier’s check. Cash or personal checks are not accepted.
After completing enrollment, successful applicants will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) via U.S. mail within about two weeks that is valid for five years. To learn more about TSA PreCheck visit the TSA PreCheck page or the TSA PreCheck Frequently Asked Questions page.
Fairbanks International Airport Baggage Transport Conveyor Enhanced With Mod Drive™ System
Airports face a host of unique industry challenges, such as meeting efficiency regulations and seeking out the best maintenance practices to reduce costs and keep operations flowing. In today’s current economic climate, any potential cost savings can go a long way.
In 2019, Alaska’s Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) sought to modernize its equipment and operations. They were dissatisfied with the performance of the gearmotors on their baggage transport conveyors and began searching for new suppliers. Regal approached FAI with a solution that could improve equipment performance and simplify maintenance, with the added benefit of energy cost savings: the Hub City® MOD Drive™ system.
This white paper discusses the hardware deployed, the test results and the annualized expectations for ROI.
