San Diego, California, February 15, 2023 ˗ RoadVista announces their release of the next generation in pavement marking testing and measurement. The StripeMaster® 3 is the latest generation retroreflectometer for quantification of roadway and airfield pavement marking characteristics including retroreflectivity, daytime visibility, and night-time retroreflected color providing safety for drivers, pilots, automated vehicle functions, and to help agencies comply with the new MUTCD minimum retroreflectivity requirements for pavement markings. Completely designed and manufactured in the USA, the StripeMaster® 3 continues the legacy of quality products from RoadVista.
The instrument is more than just a retroreflectometer. It is a full asset management tool. The user is able to test and quantify pavement markings on roadways, highways, and airfields with measurable data with standard and custom attributes, locations, comments, and other important data. The StripeMaster 3 can also document the condition of pavement markings through an automated Pass/Fail feature.
The innovative, ergonomic design integrates an auto-lifting handle for easy transport and no bending over. Its large 7-inch touch screen display is easy to read, even in direct sunlight and the instrument is light enough to carry and maneuver along a continuous road marking when testing on busy roadways.
“By building on experience from previous models it is exciting to offer a more ergonomic and safe testing option that delivers high-precision pavement marking testing, as well as the opportunity to meet the recent MUTCD updated regulations and improve asset management for municipalities,” exclaimed Eric Nelson, Director for RoadVista.
A dedicated software package provides data that can be viewed and printed onsite or can be downloaded after testing for comprehensive report generation, analysis, and GIS integration. It has the capability for immediate on-site records or easy data export via USB or Bluetooth for comprehensive data management. Testing can be performed day or night and will perform dry, wet, or rain testing per ASTM standards.
This comprehensive system empowers municipalities with full insight into their markings for both human and machine vision creating safer roads for all vehicles. The StripeMaster® 3 provides incredibly valuable insight into pavement striping characteristics allowing municipalities, contractors, and workers to quantify road striping conditions, create efficiencies in the testing process, help to determine when roads need to be restriped, and help develop improved full asset management. Better planning, budgeting, and worker bandwidth can be realized for streamlined operations and processes saving money and time.

PAVIX: Proven Winner for All Airport Concrete Infrastructure
International Chem-Crete Corporation (ICC) manufactures and sells PAVIX, a unique line of crystalline waterproofing products that penetrate into the surface of cured concrete to fill and seal pores and capillary voids, creating a long lasting protective zone within the concrete substrate.
Once concrete is treated, water is prevented from penetrating through this protective zone and causing associated damage, such as freeze-thaw cracking, reinforcing steel corrosion, chloride ion penetration, and ASR related cracking.
This white paper discusses how the PAVIX CCC100 technolgy works and its applications.
